100 Crore Recovery Case ED issues lookout notice The Enforcement Directorate has issued a lookout notice against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the Money Laundering Case. Deshmukh can no longer go out of the country after the lookout notice is issued. Anil Deshmukh has not appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) despite summoning him five times in this case. It is worth mentioning that Anil Deshmukh had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court on September 2 against the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate in the 100 crore recovery case, requesting its quashing. The petition came before a single bench of Justice Revati Mohite Dere but he recused himself from hearing without assigning any reason. Justice Revathi said that do not place it before my bench for hearing. Now the second petition in this regard will be heard.
The Enforcement Directorate had started an investigation against Deshmukh and his associates after the CBI registered an FIR against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on April 21 in connection with corruption and abuse of official position. According to the Enforcement Directorate, Anil Deshmukh allegedly abused his position while being the home minister of the state and extorted Rs 4.70 crore from various ‘bars’ and restaurants in Mumbai through sacked Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vajhe. .
