It is being advised to be careful about this from now on. Some similar advice has been given by 21 experts in an article in The Lancent Medical Journal.

These experts include Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, founder of Indian biopharmaceutical company Biocon, and renowned surgeon Dr Devi Shetty.

Experts have recommended governments to work on eight points for preparedness before corona cases rise again. These eight points are-

1. There should be decentralization of essential health services. The same type of measures is not good for everyone because the situation of corona cases and health services varies at the district level.

2. There should be a cap on the cost of all essential health services like ambulances, oxygen, essential medicines and hospital treatment and a transparent national pricing policy should be made. Getting treatment in the hospital should not be heavy on the pockets of the people and the cost should be borne by the existing health insurance schemes for all.

3. Clear, evidence-based information related to the management of Kovid-19 should be further expanded and implemented. This information should include international guidelines in local languages for home care and treatment, primary care and care in district hospitals, including local conditions and clinical practice.

4. All human resources in all areas of the health system, including the private sector, should be prepared to fight COVID-19. They should also have adequate resources for this fight, such as equipment to protect themselves, guidance on the use of clinical interventions, insurance and support for mental health.
