01/6 Avoid these things when feeling hungry
Being low on fuel can affect your mood and health in many ways. Hunger can make you cranky, moody, sluggish, drained out and you would not like to perform any activity. Surely you can’t always have a full belly. On occasions, we do not have time to fuel ourselves due to our tight schedule or some other reasons and we are forced to carry on with our work. But according to science, there are few things that you should not do at all when you are famished as you are more likely to make rash decisions and you might regret attempting the task later.
02/6 Make a tough decision
Studies suggest that people do not make smarter choices when they are hungry. According to the researchers from the Utrecht University of the Netherlands, being hungry may make you think less and you might make an impulse decision, which you are most likely to regret later. This happens because Ghrelin, which is a hunger hormone made in the GI tract affects the brain and your ability to be rational.
03/6 Go for shopping
If you have to go grocery shopping make sure you eat something if you do not want to burn a hole in your pocket. Research suggests that people tend to spend more on unnecessary things when they are hungry. If you are going grocery shopping you will probably end up buying a lot of carbs and sweets because you would be craving for these items at that time.
04/6 Argue with your partner
No matter how angry you are with your partner do not engage in any kind of arguments as it could make the matter worse between you two. Instead, take some time out, grab something to eat and think on the matter twice before saying anything. When hungry our brain cannot think clearly and we are more likely to blurt out things that we should not.
05/6 Exercise
Some people think that exercising on an empty stomach might help to burn extra fat, but it is exactly the opposite. Working out on an empty stomach might limit your performance and can cause a hindrance to your workout routine. Besides, due to low energy, there is also a high risk of injury. You need to fuel yourself properly before performing any exercise to gain maximum results.
