On January 28, 2004, Shafali Verma was born in Rohtak, Haryana. She is an Aquarius by birth sign. She attended Mandeep Senior Secondary School in Rohtak for her education.
Due to her outstanding results and power-hitting abilities, she was able to join the Haryana Under-16 women's squad in 2018 at the age of 14.
At the tender age of 15, Shafali made her WT201 debut on September 24, 2019 against South Africa, becoming India's youngest-ever debutant in international cricket.
Just two months after making her international debut, in November 2019, she successfully eclipsed Sachin Tendulkar, a cricket icon and her idol, who had held the previous record for 30 years.
At the age of 15 years and 285 days, she became the youngest person to ever make an international half-century when she hammered 73 runs off 49 balls against the West Indies.
Shafali Verma, a daring batswoman, rose to the top of the ICC Women's T20 International rankings during the 2020 ICC Women's T20 Cricket World Cup.
Shafali comes from a cricket-loving household. She and her father went to watch Sachin Tendulkar bat in his final Ranji Trophy game, which piqued their interest in the sport even more.
After making history with the U-19 team, India's captain Shafali Verma aspires to win the senior T20 World Cup.
