Users of WhatsApp, a platform owned by Meta, can communicate with many people at once through group chats, voice calls, and video calls.

To enhance user experience, the company recently raised the number of people who can participate in a group video conference from 16 to 32 and offered call connections.

WhatsApp is aiming to roll out a new feature that will let users schedule group calls in order to better improve the platform.

In order to allow users to schedule group calls in advance, WhatsApp is developing a new feature dubbed "Schedule group call," according to WABetainfo.

Only individuals who have signed up for Apple's TestFlight programme have access to the feature, which is still in the beta testing stage.

Users must install the most recent WhatsApp version iOS 23.4.0. on their iPhones in order to enjoy the function.

When users press on the call button in group chats once the WhatsApp app has been updated, a new context menu with a "Schedule Call" button will show.

Users will have more control over the call initiation process thanks to the "Schedule Call" feature, which lets them choose a time for their group call and even give it a name.

All group members will get a notification to join the call at the scheduled time after a group call has been scheduled utilising WhatsApp's new functionality on both audio and video call.
