On January 3, Industrialist Gautam Adani hailed the Supreme Court's decision, declaring that "truth has prevailed."
Within three months, the top court ordered the SEBI to wrap up its investigation into two ongoing cases involving accusations against the Adani group.
Under the leadership of Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, a bench stated that it could not control SEBI's investigative authority.
Even though the agency had finished its work in 22 of the 24 cases including accusations against the Adani group.
His comments were made just hours after the Supreme Court ruled that the case's circumstances did not support sending the investigation to a Special Investigation Team.
“The Hon’ble Supreme Court’s judgement shows that: Truth has prevailed. Satyameva Jayate. I am grateful to those who stood by us. Our humble contribution to India’s growth story will continue. Jai Hind,” he wrote on X.
