According to Enforcement Directorate sources, Jacqueline Fernandez, a Bollywood actress was today interrogated as a witness in a money laundering case. This was to do with an alleged multi-crore racket of extortion run by Sukesh Chandrashekar (a “known conman” who is also being accused in a bribery case involving the Election Commission).

Sources  said that she is not being accused but was being as a witness in a case against Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The agency interviewed the Sri Lankan movie star about five hours.

Agency sources claim that Chandrashekar also allegedly conned the 36-year old.

According to agency sources:-  Chandrashekar was allegedly able to track down the actor through his wife Leena. Sources claim that she was also targeting another top movie star. Sources say that authorities are aware of this but have not revealed the identity to protect the person.

The probe agency stated that it had taken a Chennai-facing bungalow, Rs 82.5 lakh cash and more than a dozen luxury cars as part of the money laundering case against Chandrashekar.

This case stems from an FIR by the Delhi police’s Economic Offenses Wing against him and others for alleged criminal conspiracy and cheating and extortion to the tune in excess of Rs 200 crore.
