Veteran telecom company Airtel has announced to benefit its low-income customers after keeping the epidemic in mind. The company will provide recharge of Rs 49 to its more than 5.5 crore low-income customers for free. The validity of this prepaid plan is 28 days and in this, consumers will get a talk time of Rs 38 with 100MB of data. The company believes that this move will greatly benefit rural customers and they will remain connected to the network.

According to the company, consumers will get double benefits in the Rs 79 recharge plan. This will keep users connected to their family and friends. According to the TRAI report, Airtel’s downloading speed was 5Mbps in April 2021 in terms of 4G downloading speed. While the uploading speed of the company was 3.9 Mbps. At the same time, the download speed of Airtel fell from 9.4 Mbps in February to 9.3 Mbps in March.
