Arshdeep singh is a renowned international cricket player who was born on February 5,1999. He is a professional cricketer who plays for India. In T20 matches he competes for Punjab in First-class, List A and he is also seen in Indian Premier leagues matches playing in Punjab Kings team. He is a left-arm mid pacer and lower-order left-handed batsman.
He made his international debut for the India national team in July 2022 in a T20I match against England. Singh primarily plays as a mid-pace player and is known for his deadly bowling where he uses the Yorker.
Biography
Arshdeep Singh was born into a Sikh family of Darshan Singh and Baljit Kaur in Madhya Pradesh where his father served in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). His father was in a partnership for over 25 years. Singh’s family then moved to Kharar, near Chandigarh, where Singh now resides with his family. Darshan Singh now works as the head of security at Groz Beckert Asia in the industrial area of Chandigarh. He started playing street cricket with the neighbourhood boys and later joined the Jaswant Rai Cricket Academy in Chandigarh in 2015. His older brother Akashdeep Singh lives in Brampton, Canada.

Arshdeep domestic Career:
Arshdeep singh started playing cricket at GNPS School, Chandigarh in 2012 under manager Jawant Rai Notch. In the 2017 Punjab Inter-District One Day Championship for the DP Azad Trophy, he secured 13 wickets for Punjab in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy and 19 wickets for Chandigarh in five games. He made his International youth cricket launch in the 2017 ACC U19 Asian Cup in hostile to Malaysia U19 on 10 November 2017 in Kuala Lumpur.
Arshdeep participated in the U19 Challenger Trophy for India Red in 2017. It was a tournament that showcased his bowling skills as he took seven wickets including a five-wicket move. That’s why this match put him in the spotlight.
During the 2018 U-19 World Cup group stage match against Zimbabwe, Arshdeep turned in his best performance of a tournament bowling with a save rate of 1.43. He bowled 7 overs in which he conceded 10 runs to opponents and also took 2 wickets. A few months later, he was enlisted by the Punjab under-23 team and clashed with the ball in hostile to Rajasthan in the CK Nayadu Trophy, taking 8 wickets including a hat-trick.
This led to selectors to include him in Vijay Hazare State’s for2018/19 and Arshdeep made a fine debut taking 2 wickets against Himachal Pradesh.
Arshdeep Singh IPL Career:
After impressing everyone domestically, Kings XI Punjab bought Arshdeep Singh. At the Rajasthan Royals’ home stadium in Mohali, Arshdeep Singh made his debut against the team, going up against Jos Buttler and Ajinkya Rahane, two of their star players. The youngster made three appearances for KXIP during the 2019 season and was acquired by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2020 auction.
In 2020, Arshdeep played 8 games and won 9 wickets at a high economic rate of 8.77. He again represented the Punjab team in the 2021 edition. Arshdeep’s skills were more widely recognized this time around, around taking 28 wickets in 12 games. As a starter and death bowler, Arshdeep’s high economy rate of 8.27 was appropriate and his impressive 5 for 32 against Rajasthan Royals caught the attention of the Indian team.
In 2022, Arshdeep was given more responsibility for the reimagined Punjabi Kings franchise. Although he only took 10 wickets this time around, his impressive 7.70 save rate cemented his role as a kill specialist.
Arshdeep Singh T20I Career:
Arshdeep Singh made his T20I debut on July 7,2022 against the England team in Southampton. His first over was a maiden, the third Indian to complete the feat on debut.
Due to his impressive performance, Arshdeep was selected for the 2022 Asian Cup in the absesnce of Jasprit Bumrah. In a high-pressure game against arch-rivals Pakistan, Arshdeep captured the wickets of some batsman.
