BCCI suspends all domestic tournaments

The ODI series is to be played after the T20 matches being played between India and England. A three-match series is scheduled to be held in Pune, but now clouds of danger are seen on it. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has on Tuesday dismissed the all-ages domestic tournament. This decision has been taken in view of the ever increasing cases of Corona epidemic.

BCCI has decided to suspend all age category bouts at present.

It also includes the upcoming Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Right now the cases of corona in India have started to increase suddenly. For this reason, the board has decided to keep an eye on the situation for the first few days of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League. Corona cases are coming out the most in Mumbai, in such a situation, there is a danger of postponing the ODI series between India and England.

The domestic tournaments of the year 2020-21 were similarly delayed because of the pandemic spread across the world which was a situation of lotdowns across the country. The epidemic meant that we had to wait until January of 2021 for the domestic tournament to begin. As we discussed in the 89 AGM meeting, the season will start with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy followed by the auction of IPL.
