Demand for the cancellation of the three central laws, the sit-in demonstration of farmers going on since November 28 last year, will complete 120 days on Friday (March 26). Farmers’ organizations sitting on a dharna along the borders of Delhi-NCR (Shahjahanpur, Tikri, Singhu, and Ghazipur) have announced a Bharat Bandh on 26 March to mark the completion of 4 months of the agitation. Farmers will burn off agricultural laws during the 12-hour shutdown that runs from 6 am to 6 pm on Friday.
Shops will remain closed
On the occasion of completion of four months of farmer movement on March 26, nationwide Bharat Bandh farmer organizations have said that shops and business establishments should be closed for 12 hours. On its two-day talk i.e. on March 28, copies of the three central agricultural laws of the center will be burnt.
Shops and dairies will remain closed
According to farmer leaders, the India bandh will begin at 6 am on Friday and then will continue till 6 pm on Friday, when the picket demonstration takes place for a full day for 120 days. From 6 am to 6 pm, all shops and dairies and everything will be closed.
Medical stores and essential services will not be affected
Farmers’ organizations said that it has been decided to close shops and business establishments from 6 am to 6 pm during Bharat Bandh on 26 March. In this episode, all shops and dairies will remain closed from 6 am to 6 pm, while there will be no effect of the shutdown on medical stores and essential services.
Traffic will remain normal
Farmers’ organizations say that during Bharat Bandh, our aim is to awaken the central government to withdraw the three central agricultural laws. During this time no one should be disturbed, it will be taken care of. Neither any company-factory will be closed nor the road will be blocked. Vehicles will also not be stopped. This is a mass movement and people come voluntarily to join us in India.
Close shops voluntarily, the campaign will be run
Farmers’ organizations say that people close the shop voluntarily, a campaign is going on for this. Some shopkeepers have also promised to support us. Our effort will be to minimize inconvenience to people. Apart from Delhi-NCR, India will also be at each state, district, tehsil and village level. The farmers said that special preparations have been made for the Bharat Bandh. It will be made successful with full public support.
Bandh got the support of laborers and youth
According to the farmers’ organizations that are protesting at the borders of Delhi-NCR, the Bharat Bandh on Friday has also been supported by all labor and transport unions, student, youth, and women’s organizations. It will be at every state, district, tehsil and village level of the country.
