The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the standard-setting body in India under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, had recently released the advertisement for recruitment to the posts of Scientist – ‘B’. The application process for these posts is going to end today, 25 June 2021. Let us inform you that BIS Scientist Application 2021 started in the same month on 5th June 2021.

Interested candidates who have not applied for BIS Scientist Application 2021 can apply through the online application form provided in the career section on the official website of the bureau, bis.gov.in. However, candidates can directly go to the BIS Scientist Application 2021 page from the below-mentioned direct link. Candidates have to register first on the application page. After this, the candidates will be able to submit their applications by logging in through the allotted application number and password. Candidates will also have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 at the time of online application. The payment of which can be done online. However, there is no application fee for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Divyang, and Women candidates.

Know Eligibility Criteria

Scientist (Chemistry) – PG Degree in Natural Science or equivalent with minimum 60% marks.

For all other posts – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent with minimum 60% marks. Valid marks of GATE exam of the year 2019, 2020 or 2021.

At the same time, the maximum age limit for all the posts has been fixed at 30 years as on the last date of application, June 25. However, there is a provision for relaxation in the upper age limit for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
