Boosting immunity is a primary concern is today’s world. Here’s a recipe of Nutri kebabs which is rich in proteins and very good for health.

In the times of Covid-19, it has become crucial to make masks and sanitisers our constant companions. But one can’t just safeguard themselves from the deadly novel coronavirus only by practicing safety measures. In order to avert and recover from the disease, one must consume healthy food and boost their immunity.

For our Build Your Immunity to Fight Covid segment, today we have a recipe of Nutri kebabs by dietician Esther John. The dish contains high amounts of protein, which helps to deal with Covid-19 and helps build immunity of the body. Foods you can eat for proteins are legumes, nutri nuggets/chunks, besan, chicken, eggs etc.

As for Nutri kebabs, it’s easy to prepare and you’ll have to spend little time cooking it. The dish is beneficial for all age groups.

INGREDIENTS

1 bowl if nutri nuggets

100g chana dal

5 raw black peppercorns

3 cloves

1 big cardamom

2 bay leaves

1 tsp crushed ginger

1 tsp crushed garlic

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves for garnishing

HOW TO MAKE

Mix all the ingredients and add two cups of water to it. Add salt to taste and steam in cooker. Semi grind everything to make a thick masala. Make kebabs in your preferred shape. Add coriander leaves in it. Heat a non-stick pan and place the kebabs slowly. Cook it with very little olive oil or without oil.

BENEFITS

Nutrella and chana dal are good sources of protein. The raw spices, ginger and garlic will help to stimulate and remove chest congestion. Nutri kebabs can help enhance taste buds, which helps with loss of appetite or sense of taste.
