The youth figure is the highest in spending more time with smartphones. Research has revealed that the youths have been seen in physical activity and smartphone activity has increased. University students who use their smartphones for 5 or more hours a day, increase the risk of obesity by 43 percent. At the same time, there is a possibility of heart disease.

Mobile technology is undoubtedly attractive due to its many objectives, portability, comfort, many services, improvements, and entertainment sources. It should also be used to improve habits and behavior. “ He further said, ” The use of smartphones for a long time provides less time for physical activity. It increases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, different types of cancer, osteoarticular and musculoskeletal symptoms.
Researchers studied this on 1060 students of the Science Science Faculty of Simon Bolivar University. This research is from June 2018 to December 2018. There were 700 women and 360 men. It included an average 19-year-old and 20-year-old students. Of these, 36.1 percent of men were overweight. At the same time, 42.6 percent men were obese. Talking about women, 63.9 percent of the weight was higher and 57.4 percent was fat.
Researchers found that if the smartphone is used for five or more hours a day, then the risk of obesity increases up to 43 percent. 26 percent of the students who weighed and 4.6 percent of the students who were obese used their smartphones more than 5 hours a day.
