Central Vista project

Delhi High Court has refused to stay the construction work of the Central Vista Project during the Corona epidemic. The court dismissed the petition challenging the construction work under the Central Vista Project. Along with this, the court also imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the petitioner. A bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh ruled on the petition to suspend the ongoing construction work during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Then the question of prohibition does not arise, the

High Court said that if the workers are staying on the construction site then there is no question of stopping it. The court said that this project is a very important project related to national importance. Keeping it separate cannot be seen. Earlier, the court had on May 17 reserved its verdict on a joint petition by translator Anya Malhotra and historian and documentary filmmaker Sohail Hashmi. Both had argued in their petition that the project was not a necessary task and could be halted for some time.

The reference to the threat to the lives of people

was filed in the Delhi High Court by filing a petition that in the Corona era, no such project should be approved to go ahead. The petition argued that a project during the Corona epidemic could endanger the lives of many people. On the other hand, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had demanded that the petition be dismissed.

The question raised on the intention of the petitioner

was that Mehta said that all the corona protocols are being followed while working on this project. While questioning the intention of the petitioner, he said that public interest is very selective. Mehta said that he did not care about the laborers working on other projects, who are probably walking only 2 km away from it.
