Navratri is celebrated mainly twice in India. A Sharadiya Navratri that falls in the month of November. The festival of Mahashtami and Mahanavami falls in this Navratri. At the same time, a Chaitra Navratri is celebrated in the month of March or April. The festival of Rama Navami comes in Chaitra Navratri. Nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped in both Navratri. We may not sit idols of Maa Durga in Chaitra Navratri, but according to the Vidhan, we worship her with full devotion.
This time chaitra navratri 2021 starts on 13 April. It will remain till April 21. Ghat installation is done on the first day of Navratri. Ghat means Kalash, it is considered an incarnation of Vishnu. According to Chaughdiya also three Muhurtas of Ghat installation are very good. From 9:11 am and 2:56 pm, there will be Chaughdiya of Char, Gain and Amrit which are very good for the establishment.
How to install the urn
One should wake up early in the morning on this day. Then take a bath and wear a safa cloth. After this, clean the temple thoroughly and make a wooden plinth and put a red or white cloth on it. Put rice on a cloth and sow barley in an earthen pot. Place the urn of water on this vessel. Make a swastika in this vase. Then tie Kalava. Do add Supadi, Sikka and Akshat in the Kalash. Place Ashoka leaves on the Kalash. Also, wrap a coconut with chunari and tie it to the Kalava Then invoke Maa Durga and worship the Kalash by lighting a lamp.
