Chhath Puja 2021 BJP workers staged a protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence on Mangavalar to protest against the ban on holding of Chhath Puja in public places. The police had to use water cannons to control the protesters, due to which many workers including former state president and MP Manoj Tiwari got injured. He has been taken to Safdarjung Trauma Hospital. Here he was given first aid.

Tiwari is taking out Chhath Rath Yatra all over Delhi regarding this. On Tuesday, workers led by state president Adesh Gupta and Tiwari demonstrated outside the Chief Minister’s residence.
In the afternoon, the protesters gathered at the Chandgi Ram Akhara and started moving towards the Chief Minister’s residence raising slogans. The police had put up barricades to stop the protesters. The protesters were trying to break it and move forward. To stop them, the police had to use water cannon, due to which Manoj Tiwari and several other workers fell, injuring them. All of them were immediately taken to the hospital. Before that, he said that Chhath Puja has been banned to hurt the sentiments of the people of Purvanchal. Puja will be organized in every halal.

BJP’s Delhi unit chief Adesh Gupta has already announced that Chhath Puja will be celebrated in a grand manner and will be arranged by the party-ruled municipal corporations.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority, in an order last week, has banned Chhath Puja celebrations at public places, including river banks, water bodies and temples, in view of the COVID-19 situation.
