New Delhi: Standing comedian Munawar Faruqui, arrested for making fun of Hindu deities, has been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Madhya Pradesh (Madhya Pradesh) Police, seeking answers in this matter.
Supreme Court stays production warrant
Justices RF Nariman and BR Gavai heard the case on Friday through video conferencing. The Supreme Court stayed the production warrant issued against the case filed in Uttar Pradesh against Munawar Faruqui .

During that time the son of BJP leader was also present in the program. He went on stage and protested against this act of Munawar Faruqui and called and complained to the police. After this, the police arrested 5 people, including Munawar Farooqui.
