After the day-to-day hard work of the scientists, there are many types of corona vaccines available all over the world, which make different claims about being effective on Covid-19.
In India too, the vaccination campaign is continuing from the beginning of the year 2021. But after three months, there are reports of vaccine deficiency.
Many states have appealed to the Central Government to remove this deficiency, but the Central Government has denied any such deficiency.
In such a situation many questions are arising: Is there really a shortage of vaccine? What do vaccine manufacturers say? Why is India lagging behind its target of vaccination?
Let’s take a look at all the questions that are being raised about the vaccine:
Is there a shortage of vaccines in the country?
For the past few days, there have been reports of vaccine deficiency and supply bottlenecks in some states.
State Governments Favor
Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha have complained of lack of vaccine supply.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said in a letter to Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday that there is only two days of vaccine dose left in the state and 700 vacancy centers have to be closed due to lack of vaccine.
Patnaik has written in his letter that nearly two and a half million people are being vaccinated in Odisha every day.
Naveen Patnaik has appealed to the central government to send at least 25 lakh doses of the vaccine for the next 10 days.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Thursday morning that there is only three days of vaccine dose left in the state, so the center should arrange more vaccine supplies as soon as possible.
Tope said that vaccine centers in cities like Mumbai have to be closed due to lack of vaccine and people coming to get vaccinations have had to be returned.
Central government
Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has completely rejected these claims of vaccine deficiency.
He said that some states and leaders are engaged in the politicization of issues like public health and are unnecessarily creating panic among people by saying things like lack of vaccine.
The Union Health Minister accused states like Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra of ‘mismanagement’ and ‘arbitrariness’ over the vaccine.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan has issued a detailed statement denying the claims of vaccine deficiency.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has also said that the Maharashtra government should not do politics on the vaccine.
He tweeted that a total of 1,06,19,190 doses of the Corona vaccine have been sent so far in Maharashtra, out of which only 90,53,523 doses have been given to the people.
He said that 7,43,280 vaccines are yet to be sent to the state and 23 lakh doses are still with Maharashtra.
However, Corona after all these allegations and counter-allegations, the central government has decided to send 17 lakh doses of vaccine instead of 7.3 lakh vaccine to Maharashtra.
