The coronavirus of the second wave is rapidly attacking the lungs. While the corona of the first wave was able to infect the entire lung in ten days, it is now infecting itself in two to three days. This time the infection rate has also increased threefold. Earlier, three people were getting positive from an infected person, this time the figure is eight-nine. Dr. Ashwini Mishra, head of TB and Chest Disease, Gorakhpur Medical College has started a study on these changes seen in the second wave. Dr. Mishra said, Corona’s new strain is more powerful, so take full care.
BRD study to know the changes coming from Corona’s new strain
Director of National Health Mission in Chhattisgarh, Dr. Priyanka Shukla also says that the symptoms of Kovid-19 are different this time. Symptoms of diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever are seen in most of the patients. Despite these symptoms, patients are undergoing tests for a very late period. People have been urged to get immediate tests done on any such symptoms. It is said that in the last three days (April 9 to 12) in Chhattisgarh, about 19 people died before reaching the hospital.
Many major changes in the new strain
Doctors studying Corona Infections admitted to Gorakhpur Medical College say that we have not yet come to any conclusion, but it is certain that many new changes have taken place from the new strain of Corona. In 2020, only two-three percent of the lungs were completely damaged. This was also known when there was trouble breathing. Lack of shrinkage was detected by X-ray and other investigations. In the second wave, the number of such patients is about 10 percent. At the same time, there is thirty percent of patients, whose lungs are getting completely infected in only two three days.
Symptoms of the corona, report negative
Antigen and real-time polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR) reports are negative even after the acute symptoms of corona infection. Baba Raghav Das Medical College of Gorakhpur has 40 patients admitted in the special ward made for such patients. Symptoms are severe in many patients. They are being advised to take special vigil for 14 days.
Four times more children in the grip of the second wave
Children and young people are more vulnerable due to negligence in the second wave of Corona. According to data from the Health Department of Chhattisgarh, between 8 April and 10 April, 825 corona victims aged between 10 and 1 have been reported in Raipur alone, while 1994 victims of the age group of 11 to 20 have been reported. This is four times the previous year. Pediatrician Dr. Rimzhim Srivastava says that the second phase of infection is more dangerous. Its symptoms are also not easily understood in children.
Corona’s major symptoms in the second wave
– light fever, dry cough, fatigue, red eye, headache, no smell, chest pain, difficulty in breathing
-Ultra-diarrhea, stomach cramps, skin irritation, diarrhea, runny nose, and indigestion
Dr. Ashwini Mishra, chairman of the TB and Chest Disease Department of BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur, said that the new strain of Corona is rapidly infecting the lungs. Even if there are mild symptoms, get them tested. Even after the report comes negative, consult the doctor. Timely treatment will not spread the infection and will not cause any harm.
