CWG 2022 Medal Tally

On the 7th day of CWG 2022,  India has taken the number of gold medals to 6 by winning a historic gold medal in a silver sahik para powerlifting. M Sreeshankar got the silver medal for India in long jump while Para powerlifter Sudhir got India the first historic gold medal in powerlifting. Apart from this, Hima Das of India reached the semi-finals in the 200 meters race on the 7th day. In hockey, India’s men’s team reached the semi-finals by defeating Wales 4-1, while in boxing also India secured a total of 7 medals.

Murali Sreeshankar won the silver medal in the men’s long jump final. Sreeshankar captured this silver medal by jumping 8.08 meters.

This is India’s second medal this time in the track and field event, before Tejaswin Shankar of India won the bronze in the high jump.
