DDMA issued guidelines regarding the opening of Delhi schools The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued guidelines regarding the opening of schools in the capital. According to the update of news agency PTI, the authority has directed all schools and colleges to set up a quarantine room on the campus to deal with emergency situations. Schools should be given open space for a lunch break to avoid crowding. Also, the attendance of regular guests in schools should be reduced. Apart from this, DDMA has said in its guidelines that such teachers and students should not be allowed to come to school or college who are living in any containment zone prescribed by the administration.
Explain that the schools of Delhi are to be opened from September 1, 2021, for the students of senior classes from 9th to 12th. After this, students can be called to school from 8th September for middle classes 6th to 8th. However, for going to school, students have to bring the written consent of their parents and on the other hand, students will not be compelled to come to school.
Some other important guidelines of DDMA
- Educational institutions will be allowed to invite a maximum of 50 percent of the students in any class at a time.
- For this, institutes can call students in shifts and there should be a gap of at least one hour between two shifts.
- Students should avoid sharing food items or water, books, stationery items or any other thing with classmates or anyone else.
- School heads must also ensure that all teaching and non-teaching staff attending the school are vaccinated. If they are not, they will have to get it done on priority basis.
