23 patients from Corona, allegedly missing from the North Delhi Municipal Corporation-run Hindu Rao Hospital, have been found and have been found in other medical units or in isolation at home. This information was given in an official statement. North Delhi Mayor Jayaprakash was quoted as saying that nineteen of these 23 patients left the hospital when they were to be shifted from the emergency area to the wards inside the hospital.
He said that the remaining four patients were indeed discharged after proper treatment, but due to some error they were wrongly reported as missing. He said that it is clarified that all these 23 patients have been detected. These patients were found from Hindu Rao Hospital (HRH) in a government hospital in Delhi or a central government hospital or in a quarantine at a private hospital or home.
Jayaprakash said on Saturday that at least 23 Corona patients left the hospital between April 19 and May 6 without telling the hospital. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday ordered an inquiry into the incident.
