After the beautification of the main road of Chandni Chowk, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has completely banned the movement of vehicles on this route from Red Fort to Fatehpuri Masjid and adjoining areas from day till evening. The entry of vehicles in this area will now be restricted from 9 am to 9 pm. In this regard, on the instructions of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, the Transport Department has issued a notification. However, the LG has given the right to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) to make changes in this arrangement if needed keeping in view the circumstances. But the period of this change cannot exceed one month.

Restrictions will not apply to these vehicles
Delhi Chandni Chowk News If you are going In the notification issued, some roads in this area have been exempted from this restriction. Detailed information about restricted and non-restricted roads has been given in the notification. It has also been told that this restriction will not apply to emergency vehicles i.e. fire tenders, ambulances, dead bodies, pregnant women or such patients who require motorized transport. Also Enforcement (Vehicles of North Delhi Municipal Corporation and Delhi Police) and Maintenance i.e. Vehicles operated by North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Delhi Police, BSES Yamuna Power Limited, Public Works Department, CPWD, Delhi Jal Board, Indraprastha Gas Limited, and Bank Mudra Van and Will not apply to security vans. Keeping in mind the convenience of the people, the Lieutenant Governor has given instructions to install informational signboards.
Vehicles will not ply on these roads
There will be a ban on the movement of motorized vehicles on the main Chandni Chowk road from Red Fort to Fatehpuri Masjid from 9 am to 9 pm for seven days.
There will be a restriction of vehicles on the roads coming from the northern and southern sides of the main Chandni Chowk road.
The vehicular movement will be restricted from 9 am to 9 pm on all roads coming towards the main Chandni Chowk road.
Vehicles will continue to ply on these roads
-HC Sen Marg to Jubilee Cinema Cut (Opposite Gandhi Maidan Parking)
Rai Kedarnath Marg which leads to Main Chandni Chowk Road on Rai Kedarnath Marg till T-Point (Town Hall Entry Road)
– Kachha Bagh Road which includes Chandni Chowk Metro Station and Ramjas Senior Secondary School No.-3, up to Main Chandni Chowk Road.
-T-point on Shanti Desai Marg which leads to Main Chandni Chowk Road till Shanti Desai Marg (Town Hall Exit Road)
On the road leading to Bagh Deewar Park up to Main Chandni Chowk Road (behind Dangal Maidan Parking)
Vehicles will continue to ply on these roads too
Netaji Subhash Marg.
– On Jama Masjid Road up to Chawdi Ba•var Road Crossing.
– On Chavadi Bazar Road till Hauz Qazi Chauraha.
– On Lal Kuan Road to Katra Barian Road T Point.
-Fatehpuri Masjid on Katra Barian Road till T Point.
