He said that in view of the water reaching the danger mark in the Yamuna, the Delhi government has made full preparations. On the issue of waterlogging in Delhi, Jain said that it takes some time for the water to come out when there is more rainfall. But the Delhi government has got its drains completely cleaned. There are complaints about the drains of the municipal corporations. The warning level of Yamuna is 204.50. On the other hand, district administration officials say that there is nothing in danger due to the rise in water level. There is no water in any area, not even enough water is being released from the barrage to become a flood situation. Despite this, we are cautious.
At the same time, due to continuous rain for the last three days, the water in the Yamuna has also increased. Due to this, more quantity of water is being released from the Hathni Kund barrage. Therefore, the water level of Yamuna is increasing in Delhi also. According to the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, one lakh 60 thousand cusecs of water has been released from Hathni Kund barrage in the last 24 hours, which is the highest this year. After this, one lakh three thousand 245 cusecs of water has been released at 6 am on Thursday. When this water reaches Delhi in the next two days, there is a possibility of water-logging in the lower parts of Yamuna.
