Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Entrepreneur India‘ program at Vigyan Bhawan today. In this program, PM Modi will flag off many new schemes for MSMEs. He will also launch new features of schemes ‘Enhancing and Accelerating the Performance of MSMEs’ (RAMP) and ‘Capacity Building for First Time Exporter MSMEs’ (CBFTE) Scheme (CBFTE) and ‘Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program’ (PMEGP) schemes .
Digital assistance will be given to PMEGP beneficiaries
In Entrepreneur India Program, PM Modi will also transfer assistance digitally to the beneficiaries of PMEGP for 2022-23 along with the launch of the schemes. The event will also see the announcement of results of MSME Idea Hackathon 2022.
The Prime Minister will launch the scheme of ‘Enhancing and Accelerating the Performance of MSMEs’ (RAMP) of about 6,000 crores. The objective is to enhance the implementation capacity and coverage of MSMEs in the states with an increase in the impact of the existing MSME schemes. Government has already started several initiatives like MUDRA Scheme, Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme and Scheme of Fund for Upliftment of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) to provide necessary assistance to the MSME sector from time to time. PM Modi will present many new schemes to the MSME sector under Entrepreneur India Program.
MSMEs are going to benefit immensely from the launch of new features of ‘Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program’ (PMEGP). Under this, the maximum project cost for the manufacturing sector will be increased by Rs 50 lakh (from Rs 25 lakh) and in the service sector by Rs 20 lakh (from Rs 10 lakh). At the same time, under the new scheme, now applicants from aspirational districts and transgenders will also be included in it. Also, assistance will be provided to applicants and entrepreneurs through appointment of banking, technical and marketing experts.
