Geeta and Babita’s sister Ritika Phogat, has committed suicide due to a defeat in the final match of a wrestling tournament. Ritika was the maternal sister of Geeta and Babita.
It is being told about Ritika Phogat that she could not bear the loss of defeat in the final of the wrestling tournament, due to which she committed suicide. He participated in the State Sub-Level Junior, Junior Woman and Men’s Wrestling tournaments. The tournament was going on at the Lohagad Stadium in Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
In the final match of this tournament held between March 12-14, Ritika lost due to just one point. After this, she went into depression and then committed suicide .
It is being told that Dronacharya Award was conferred and Geeta and Babita’s sister Ritika Phogat father Mahavir Phogat were also present at the tournament venue. The film ‘Dangal’ was also made over the Phogat sisters, in which Aamir Khan played the role of Mahavir Phogat.
Ritika also wanted to earn a name in wrestling like Geeta and Babita and she was also working hard for it. Ritika tied the scarf in the fan and hanged it.

The body of Ritika Phogat has been handed over to the relatives after the postmortem and the police is investigating further. Another cousin of Geeta and Babita, Vinesh Phogat is also one of the contenders for the Tokyo Olympics and is one of the best freestyle wrestlers in the country.
