Rane said that 1200 large cylinders of medical oxygen were needed here on Monday, but only 400 were supplied. He said, “If there is a shortage of medical oxygen supply, then discussion should be done to overcome this deficiency.”

Rane said that the three-member team of nodal officers formed by the state government to monitor treatment of Covid-19 at GMCH should inform the Chief Minister in this regard. Earlier, the Chief Minister had visited the Kovid-19 ward at GMCH wearing a PPE kit where he met patients and their relatives.

The Chief Minister had said, “The problems related to oxygen in these wards need to be removed.”

He also announced a ward-wise mechanism to ensure the supply of medical oxygen. At the same time, he said that the state government is making strenuous efforts to deal with the global epidemic. Sawant said, “We have abundant medical oxygen.” There is no shortage of it in the state. ”As per the data till May 10, a total of 1,21,650 cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Goa and 1,729 people have died due to infection, officials said.
