Xiaomi has started rolling out the latest MIUI 10 update based on Android 9 Pie for its two budget smartphones Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A. In April this year, the company announced that software updates would not be released for both these budget smartphones. However, the company changed its mindset in June, saying that the latest Android 9 Pie update will be released for both these budget smartphones. Now the update of Android 9 Pie for both these smartphones has been rolled out. Some users have shared a screenshot of the latest updates on both these smartphones via social media.
Redmi 6 users are getting MIUI 10.4.1.0.PCGMIXM update whereas, Redmi 6A users are getting MIUI 10.4.1.0.PCBMIXM update. Both the updates are changing the latest version of users to the latest Android 9 Pie. Screenshots of these updates have also been shared on the company’s official forum. These latest updates of both smartphones are of 1.3GB. Users can download these updates through mobile data or Wi-Fi data.
However, Xiaomi has not yet officially informed that an update has been released for both these budget smartphones. If you also use either of these two smartphones, then you can check these updates by going to the settings of your smartphone. To check this, you have to go to your phone’s settings. After this, you have to tap on the phone about the phone. After tapping on the About phone, you will see the option for a software update. By going there, you can check this latest update of your smartphone.
