Gujarat Election Results 2021 Gujarat Civic Polls Result has been started for the votes of the six Municipal Corporations. Votes were cast on Sunday (21 February) in the six metropolitan municipalities Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar and 48.15 percent voters exercised their franchise. BJP’s account has been opened in the result released till date of Gujarat Civic Body Election Results 2021.

In Rajkot too, BJP 5 and Congress are ahead in one seat. The Aam Aadmi Party is leading in four seats of ward number 4 in Surat and four seats of ward number 8.

The fate of 2275 candidates will be decided

Gujarat Election Results 2021 Please tell that in total 2275 candidates are in the fray for the six metropolitan councils, whose fate will be decided today. Of these 577 are from BJP, 566 main opposition Congress, 91 Nationalist Congress Party, 470 Aam Aadmi Party, 353 from other parties and 228 are Independents. Many municipalities, zilla panchayats and taluka panchayats of the state will vote on February 28 and counting will take place on March 2.

Main contest between BJP and Congress

The main contest in these six metropolitan municipalities of Gujarat is between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the main opposition Congress (Congress). At present, the BJP is in possession of all the six metropolitan councils and the party has ruled these six municipal corporations for the last several terms.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has claimed that it will be an effective alternative to the BJP and the Congress, while Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is contesting the local body elections for the first time.
