The counting for June 23 by-polls to three Lok Sabha and seven Assembly seats started 8 AM on Sunday. The three Lok Sabha seats that are up for grabs are Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur and Azamgarh, & Punjab’s Sangrur. Meanwhile, the seven assembly seats are spread across the nation — Rajinder Nagar in Delhi, Mandar in Jharkhand, Atmakur in Andhra Pradesh and Agartala, Town Bordowali, Surma and Jabarajnagar in Tripura. Simranjit Singh Mann of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) won with a margin of over 7,000 votes in in Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s stronghold Sangrur.
In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Durgesh Pathak has won Rajinder Nagar bypoll by over 11,000 votes.
