Ahmedabad: The most massive heroin shipment was seized at the Mundra Port of Kutch, Gujarat and the amount of which is believed to be in the region of 9000 crore rupees. A total of 3000kg of heroin have been confiscated from two containers that came from Afghanistan. Additionally, 2 persons have been arrested.

Mundra Port is owned by Adani Port. Adani Port is a company that is owned by Gautam Adani. Heroin was rediscovered in the operations by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and Customs that has been confiscated by the government agency.
The talcum powder was proclaimed
Based on DRI sources the heroin-laden containers was imported from a company that is based within Vijaywada located in Andhra Pradesh and the firm declared the consignment to be “talcum powder”. The company exporting the goods is identified as Hassan Hussain Limited, based in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Operation ran for five days
This operation by DRI and Custom was going on for the past five days. When the agency halted the consignment and conducted an investigation drugs worth 9000 crore were found in disguise as the powder of talcum. Following this, the agency initiated an investigation in five cities.
