India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has returned to the team for this series. Hardik was not part of the last Test series played against Australia, which captured the historic Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2–1.

former cricketer Irfan Pathan has said that Hardik is finding it difficult to find a place in the playing eleven because of Washington Sundar.

According to a report in Dainik Jagran,
Irfan has said that Washington Sundar could be given the top spot
due to Hardik being a spinner and performing brilliantly in the Brisbane Test.
According to him, if he plays Washington, he will get a chance to bat at number seven, so Hardik’s chances will be reduced.
Apart from this, Irfan described Team India as a contender for victory in the Test series between India and England and said that India will be able to win the series 2–1.
He said that if England has a chance of winning in any match,
then it is a day-night match in Ahmedabad as the evening conditions in Motera can help England a little more.
