Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood is one such actor who doesn’t need any introduction. He has earned himself the status of a real life hero for his various efforts to help people during coronavirus pandemic. From helping stranded migrant workers get home to offering his hotel in Juhu to healthcare workers, he has shown selfless humanitarian attempts in assisting the disadvantaged.
When the world was facing the deadly virus, The actor has gone out of the way to help everyone to the best of his capabilities Sood extended his help to the needy section of society. He not only arranged transportation for lakhs of migrants and stranded students to help them reach their homes amidst the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic but also provided financial assistance to many. Sood even provided his hotel in Juhu, Mumbai, available to healthcare workers as a COVID-19 centre for treatment of nurses, doctors, paramedical staff and others affected. The actor also donated 25,000 face shields to Maharashtra police personnel as a tribute to their work.
He was also conferred with one of the most prestigious awards the SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
