India withdraws travel restrictions imposed on British citizens British citizens will no longer have to compulsorily quarantine for 10 days upon arrival in India. Nor will they have to test before coming to India and after reaching here. The Indian government on Wednesday withdrew travel restrictions imposed on British citizens over the Corona pandemic. The Ministry of Health has given this information. The ministry has said that the revised guidelines for British nationals coming to India on October 1, 2021 have been withdrawn. For other international travelers coming to India, the guidelines issued on 17 February 2021 will be applicable for them as well.
Let us tell you that after the restrictions imposed by Britain on Indians, India also retaliated. These travel restrictions included mandatory 10-day quarantine on arrival in India and conditions such as conducting tests before and after the trip. In such a situation, a situation of tension had arisen between the two countries regarding the visit. Then after agreeing to ease travel, Britain announced the end of the mandatory 10-day quarantine for Indian travelers.
Britain announced last week that from October 11 onwards, Indians who have received all doses of the Kovishield or other vaccine approved by it will not have to undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine. After this decision of Britain, now India has also withdrawn the travel restrictions regarding British citizens. The Health Ministry has issued new guidelines in this regard. In such a situation, now the mandatory corona test and quarantine rules for travelers coming from Britain have been abolished.
