Former cricketer Virender Sehwag tweeted and wrote, ‘Fantastic Lovelina! Third Indian boxer to win an Olympic medal. Congratulations on winning the bronze. Lovlina is the third boxer after Vijender Singh (2008 Beijing) and MC Mary Kom (2012 London) to win a medal at the Olympics. Thanks to the efforts of the Assam boxer, India have now improved their tally at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games by winning one silver and two bronze medals in Tokyo.
