International Mother Language Day 2021 It would be ironically said that the state which once had hundreds of Odia-Bangla government schools is not there today. Because of this, students of Oriya-Bangla are forgetting their language due to lack of alternatives. Due to lack of knowledge of languages, they are also getting away from their civilization and culture.
In view of this, a national level institution called Utkal Sammelani is running Odia language schools in Jharkhand. There are about 100 schools in Kolhan where Odia is acquiring language-speaking language. The honorarium and text books of the teachers who are in these schools also provide education department of Odisha government.

Advocate Rabindranath Satpathy, president of Kolhan, says that there is hardly any government in the country that is working for the promotion of its mother tongue. He told that till Bihar was not partitioned, there were schools of Odia-Bangla. There used to be education up to matriculation level, higher education was also available.
But it stopped after the formation of Jharkhand. When the issue began to arise in the society meetings, Utkal Sammelan took initiative. Today 55 schools are running in East Singhbhum, 40 in West Singhbhum and about 20 schools in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. Only language knowledge is given here.
Teachers also provide voluntary service.
Government of Odisha sends honorarium in the bank account of these teachers at the rate of five thousand rupees annually. The work of the conference is to coordinate the operation of the Government of Odisha and the school. An institution has to do this in that state,
Courtesy of Odisha Government, Odia schools are running in every state of the country. Rabindranath Satpathy, the national vice-president of the institution, says that in this way, Odia schools are running not only in Jharkhand but in every state of the country. The Odisha government helps everywhere in the same way.
