Giving this information, official sources said that it will be mandatory to fill the online self-declaration form on the portal. Passengers were complaining of problems filling up forms and uploading certificates due to the frequent downfall of the portal. In view of this, the government is contemplating to remove this provision. This will give huge relief to passengers.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation had recently sought information from the Union Health Ministry in this regard. The Health Ministry has approved the removal of the provision of submitting certificates or negative RT-PCR reports. The aviation ministry was getting feedback from passengers about the issues faced in uploading the certificates for their travel. A statement issued by its ministry said that international travel is returning to the pre-pandemic state.
