Indian Railways and IRCTC have unveiled a luxury version of the Golden Chariot that will transform luxury rail travel with exceptional amenities including a spa, gym and dedicated wine corner. The service will commence on December 14, 2024 and run till March on select dates.
Golden Chariot Train Facilities
The redesigned train has 40 designed cabins, including 13 double-bed cabins, 26 twin-bed cabins and a specially designed cabin for Divyang guests. Each cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, air conditioning, smart TV with OTT platform access, luxurious bathrooms and premium padded furniture.
Two signature restaurants, Ruchi and Nalapak, serve diverse international and Indian cuisine using premium crockery and cutlery. The train’s wellness offerings go beyond dining, including an Arogya Spa for treatments, a modern gymnasium and a dedicated bar serving premium wines and spirits.
The Golden Chariot prioritises passenger safety through extensive CCTV surveillance, advanced fire alarm systems and round-the-clock security personnel.
Golden Chariot Train Route
- The Pride of Karnataka tour, lasting five nights and six days, takes passengers through Bengaluru, Bandipur, Mysore, Halebidu, Chikmagalur, Hampi and Goa.
- The Jewels of the South itinerary covers Bengaluru, Mysore, Hampi, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad and Cochin in the same period.
- A shorter Glimpse of Karnataka tour covers Bengaluru, Bandipur, Mysore and Hampi in three nights and four days.
Golden Chariot Train Ticket Price
The comprehensive package price for the Glimpse of Karnataka tour in a deluxe cabin starts at around Rs 4,00,530 plus 5% GST. The fare includes luxury accommodation, all meals, premium beverages, guided tours and monument entry fees.
