According to the Times of Israel newspaper, the price of each interceptor is about 1.5 million dollars.
In 2006, Israel started working on this technology after a fight with the Islamic group Hezbollah.
Hezbollah fired thousands of rockets in the direction of Israel, due to which dozens of Israelis were killed.

A year after the incident, the Israeli government company Rafal Defense said that it will build a missile shield for the country in terms of security.
Israel received $ 200 million from the US for this project.
And after many years of research, this system was tested in the year 2011. During the test, the system was able to knock down missiles fired from the southern city of Birseba.
