The cost for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cooking gas cylinders in all categories, including subsidies on the gas were on Wednesday increased by 15 rupees per cylinder which is the fourth rate hike within less than two months.

The rate for a 5kg cylinders is now at Rs 502. The new rates will be effective as of today. Subsidized and non-subsidized LPG is now priced at Rs899.50 per 14.2-kg Cylinder in Delhi
This is the fourth consecutive price increase in less than two weeks. Subsidized as well as non-subsidized LPG rates were increased by the equivalent of Rs25 per cylinder on Oct. 1.
The most recent increase in subsidized LPG price has now brought the total rate hike from January 1 to the rate of Rs205 per cylinder.
The policy of the government allows for the provision of 12 cylinders weighing 14.2-kg each for households at a cost that is subsidized or lower than market prices. The excess quantity must be purchased at market price or at non-subsidized rates.
In the meantime there was a rise in it was reported that the Petrol cost on Wednesday increased to 26-30 pence per gallon and diesel by 34-37 paise per for a liter in the entire country.
