A recent study has revealed that certain types of meditation techniques increase creative thinking. This study has been published in a journal called Mindfulness. 

The study says that the effect of meditation on humans is prolonged. It also affects the way humans think, leading to new ideas. This has an impact on experienced meditators as well as new meditators.

The study also suggests that not all types of meditation techniques have the same effect on creativity. Those who did open monitoring meditation had many solutions to the same problem. At the same time, there was no effect on those who had focused attention meditation.

40 people participated in this study. All people were given a thickening task, which was done for 25 minutes before meditation. These people included half experienced and half first time meditators. The study examined the effects of different techniques of meditation on two main ingredients of creativity.
