Mithali has now become the second cricketer in the world to play ODI cricket for the longest time. Former Indian veteran Sachin Tendulkar is named at number one in this list. Sachin, who made his debut in December 1989, played ODI cricket for 22 years and 91 days.

Significantly, Mithali Raj made her ODI international debut against Ireland on 26 June 1999. Now his ODI career has become 21 years 254 days. She has become the second cricketer in the world to play ODI cricket for the longest time, leaving behind Sanath Jayasuriya. Jayasuriya played ODI cricket for 21 years 184 days.
