Neeraj Chopra's relationship with Marathas

Neeraj Chopra’s relationship with Marathas in January 1761, the story of the third battle of Panipat was recorded in the pages of history. The brave Marathas shed their blood on the field of Panipat to save India from slavery. Could not win the battle, but Abdali also did not come back again. Neeraj Chopra of the Road society, who associated himself with the same Maratha descendant, won the gold medal to the country at the Tokyo Olympics like a warrior at the tip of a spear.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has tweeted remembering the history of Marathas – Remember the war which left a deep wound for years, the same Panipat boy has turned history today. Neeraj’s grandfather Dharam Singh proudly says that Marathas create history. She shed his blood in the third battle, the grandson won the battle with a spear after years. It is also interesting that Neeraj Chopra started the practice of throwing javelin from Shivaji Stadium in Panipat. The same Chhatrapati Shivaji, who laid the foundation of the Maratha Empire.

Another important thing is that Neeraj himself is a Subedar in the Rajputana Rifles in the army. That is, he is a warrior by blood and work, victory was certain. Dada Dharam Singh says, “The Marathis of Maharashtra are our brothers. They respect us. We have a long-standing relationship with them.” Father Satish Chopra told Jagran, Rod and Maratha are brothers. Today the biggest pride is to be the father of Neeraj.

Roads associate themselves with the Marathas in this way

Rampal Mule of Bastara village, an expert in Maratha history, says that after the third battle of Panipat, Marathas were being searched. A reward was placed on those who brought their heads. Then the Marathas hid in the forest. He also made some changes in his gotra. Like dabade now dabda, mule now valuable, turne now turna, turke now turka, kade now kadian, connected now jude, roulette now rulhyan. Similarly, Chopra is here.

The families of the Chopra gotra live in Satara and Akola in Maharashtra. Gajanand Chopra, a resident of Akola, told Jagran that he has come to Khandara village of Panipat many times. Neeraj’s grandfather Dharam Singh Chopra has met his father Satish Chopra. Both are proud to be Maratha. Rajbir Chopra of the village has come to his daughter’s wedding. Ever since the road connected them with the Marathas, there has been a movement of families. There are Chopra majority families in Malthana, Talegaon, Turkhed.

Let us inform that Maratha Virendra Verma and historian Vasantrao More were the first to reveal that the Road society is Maratha descendant. However, the people of Raja Road Seva Dal deny this. According to him, there is no Maratha in the Rode caste.

Road Marathas are settled here

Marathas have settled on the road from Panipat to Kurukshetra only. The Marathas were hiding in the middle of this area. Panipat Shimla Maulana, Khandara, Kaimla of Karnal, Budha, Bastara, Jhimheri, Kutela, Bajida, Jhajhari, Dadupur, Shamgarh, Raipur, Rodhan, Barana, Umri and Amin of Kurukshetra are settled on the road. Their population in this area is about eight lakhs. History of Haryana is taught in the curriculum of BA of Kurukshetra University. It is written that before 1761 there was no Road caste. The Amin of Kurukshetra has been the main center of this caste.

Sardar Chopra was martyred in Panipat

Many Sardars who came from Pune were martyred in the battle of Panipat. Narasgrao Chopra was one of them. There is a description of these martyrs in Panipatchi Bakhar written by Raghunath Yadav. Jagbir Maratha of Bambarheri in Karnal says that the Chopdas of Maharashtra are the Road Chopras of Haryana.

Descendants of Bajirao-Mastani said, warrior never forgets war

The descendants of Bajirao-Mastani are Nawab Shadab Bahadur. Kala Amb is a witness to the third battle of Panipat. It was here that Shamsher Bahadur, son of Bajirao-Mastani, was martyred. Shadab Bahadur of Bhopal, a descendant of Shamsher Bahadur, said through the video that Neeraj Road is a Maratha. A warrior never forgets his battle. Marathas had also thrown javelin in 1761, that was another period. The javelin that was thrown today has conquered the world. Both Bajirao and Mastani were very good javelin throwers. The spear is our proud history. Our Royal logo is also the spear.

Devendra Fadnavis tweeted

This spear belongs to Veer Shiva and Ranbhedi Rana.

Neeraj son of Mother India is from Haryana.

Today, seeing the tricolor soar high, the chest is wide,

And his blood runs in his veins to the tune of the national anthem.

Remember the war that left a deep wound for years,

The same person of Panipat has turned history today.
