Saudi Arabia has told India that last year when the prices of crude oil were very low in the international market,
The oil purchased at that time can be used by India now.
According to the Economic Times news, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said that India should use oil purchased at a lower price last year.
He said, “I will ask my friend to remove the oil that he had bought in April,
May and June last year from the store.”
Dharmendra Pradhan, Petroleum Minister in the Government of India, appealed to him before the meeting of OPEC countries to reduce the restrictions on production to bring the price of crude oil stable.
He said that the high crude oil prices are impacting the recovery of the Indian economy.
According to the news agency PTI, between April and May last year in India,
16.71 barrels of crude fuel was purchased and the fuel godowns built at three places had stored it.
On 21 September 2020, in response to a question in the Rajya Sabha,
the petroleum minister said that during that time, petrol was purchased for an average price of $ 19.
