Female film director Cloie Chao has won the Best Director award for Nomadland. She is the second woman in the 93-year history of the Oscar Awards to win this award.
Actress Francis McDoramand was given the Best Actress Award for Nomadland.
Noted actor Anthony Hopkins has received the Best Actor Award. He is the oldest actor to have received this award. The 83-year-old British actor received the award for the film ‘The Father’.
Accepting the award for Best Director, Chloe Chao said, “Wherever I have met in this world, I have only found goodness.” This award is for those who believe in being good and who have the courage to remain so, no matter how difficult it may be. This award is for all of you – you inspire me. ”
In the midst of the Corona epidemic, the world’s most prestigious film festival, Oscars, has been held at two locations – Dolby Theater and Union Station – in Los Angeles, USA. Since 2001, the Oscar Awards had been held at the Dolby Theater.

Pakistan-born British actor Riz Ahmed is the first Muslim actor to be nominated for the Best Actor Lead Award at the Oscars.
