Oxygen cylinder blast in Kanpur During the Corona virus infection period, 24 hours of work is being done at various plants to bring medical oxygen supply back on track. Under this, during the cylinder refilling at Panki Oxygen plant in Kanpur, one worker was killed and half a dozen people were injured due to the blast in the cylinder. The injured are being treated while efforts are being made to start work in the plant. The information has been given to the district administration on behalf of the factory owner.
One worker was killed and three injured when an oxygen cylinder exploded at the Panki Oxygen plant in Dadanagar Industrial Area, Kanpur. Medical oxygen is supplied to retailers and hospitals from the Panki Oxygen C-13 plant. The plant is running 24 hours right now due to the Corona crisis. Murad Ali, a resident of Mardanpur, was engaged in the work of cylinder refill in the early hours of Friday.
At the same time, a cylinder suddenly exploded. In the accident, the body of the laborer was badly deformed and several cylinders fell due to the explosion on the three laborers who were nearby. In a hurry, the injured have been admitted to a private nearby nursing home.
The factory owner refused to speak anything in the case. Nayab Tehsildar, posted as static magistrate, gave information to the officials of the administration. No officials had arrived till six in the morning.
Ambulance called as a patient: Ambulance driver Ram Lakhan told that it was reported at five o’clock in the control room that the workers at his oxygen plant were injured. When she reached the spot, the dead body was found there. Naib Tehsildar and DPRO have forcibly stopped the ambulance.
