India is facing the second and dangerous wave of Covid-19. There is an increase in the number of cases in the coming days. In the past, new cases had also surpassed the figure of one lakh. At the same time, IMA said the use of vaccines has been said to be very important in the prevention of corona, due to which the vaccine is being installed in the country at a very fast pace.

However, there have been no orders in the country to introduce vaccines to people of all ages. Meanwhile, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Tuesday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that vaccination should be open to all people above the age of 18 years.

The IMA stated, ‘Currently, we are vaccinating the population above the age of 45. In view of the rapid spread of the second wave of the disease, we suggest that our vaccination strategy needs to be formulated with immediate effect on a war footing. We request the following suggestions in the COVID vaccination drive. In this, all citizens above 18 years of age should be allowed to get Covid vaccination.

The association also urged the Prime Minister that private hospitals, as well as private-sector family clinics, should also be actively involved in the vaccination campaign, as the availability of vaccination with all doctors and family physicians would have a positive impact on the drive.

Covid pass

As per IMA, a certificate of vaccination should be made compulsory for people to enter public places and buy something. The IMA stated that there is an acute outbreak of the disease. As a measure to break the chain immediately, a limited period of continuous lockdown especially applicable to all non-essential areas such as cinema, cultural and religious programs, sports, etc. should be done.

The IMA stated that it is necessary to follow the guidelines of Covid. The availability of infrastructures such as beds and oxygen should increase. The government should think about promoting healthcare workers. Strict adherence to protocol is extremely important.
