Around 200 people including some other Union Cabinet Ministers and Ministers of State will also participate in the event via live webcast. The new Parliament building is targeted to be completed by October 2022, so that the Parliament session can be held in the new building on the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence.
The Lok Sabha in the new Parliament House will be three times larger than the present one. The size of Rajya Sabha will also increase. Tata Projects Limited will construct the new Parliament building on a total area of 64,500 square meters. The design has been prepared by HCP Design, Planning and Management Private Limited.
