Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Daredevils by 5 wickets in the 45th match of the VIVO Indian Premier League 2018.
Bangalore was chasing a decent total of 182 and Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers took charge of the run chase and made sure that Royal Challengers made it to the total easily. Both of them made sure that the run chase was not an uphill task for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Both Kohli and De Villiers made half-centuries and took the team past the required total to register a victory for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore have their hopes alive in the tournament but it does not change their position on the VIVO IPL 2018 points table.
It was Trent Boult who came into the bowling attack and went straight through the defense of Mandeep, thus clean bowling him as he went back to the pavilion for an unlucky 13 runs.
Next came Sarfaraz Khan and Harshal Patel came into the bowling attack in the 18th over. There was a loud appeal for LBW but it was harshly turned down.

Next Sarfaraz tried scooping the bowl but was caught by Prithvi Shaw, as he was dismissed for a mere 11 runs.
As the 18th over ended Royal Challengers Bangalore needed 10 runs to win. Boult tried his best and bowled a wide one but De Villiers, who was in full form hit it for a massive six, thus leading Royal Challengers Bangalore to a 5 wicket victory
Brief Scores: Delhi Daredevils 181/4 in 20 overs (Rishabh Pant 61, Abhishek Sharma 46*; YuzvendraChahal 2-28) lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore 187/5 in 19 overs (Virat Kohli 70, AB de Villiers 72*; Trent Boult 2-30) by five wickets.
